Our plans for Mother's Day were foiled by Donny's "sick" co-workers so I made the best of the day and went to Kroger :-). Donny is classified an essential state employee and worked the morning but the afternoon guard called in "sick" leaving him to work 15 hours today. The kids, my sister, and I had breakfast with my parents and that resulted in the kids leaving with my parents. Amy and I......no kids...... and no spouses....hmmmm, what to do, it was a dilemma!

We have access to numerous computers between the two of use which resulted in a very good week at Kroger and since we were kidless we packed up and headed out for one last run! Kroger was great this week thanks to mostly printable coupons from coupons.com and other sites. If you haven't used coupon.com, check it out NOW! You want to always put in zip code 90210, it will show all the coupons available to you even when your zip code may not. They are manufacturer coupons and you can print 2 of each coupon per computer. I have three computers and Amy has two plus extended family and such are generally willing to let us do some printing in exchange for a little grocery bounty!

Today's two Kroger runs netted-

27 Reach Flossers or toothbrushes
68  boxes Ronzoni smart taste, creamette or Ronzoni Healthy Harvest Wheat pasta
4 Bags Boulder Natural chips
4 Mom's Best Naturals Cereal
4 Boxes Kim and Scotts Frozen Gourmet Pretzels
6 bags Quaker Rice Cakes
6 packs Kraft 2% cheese slices
1 Ragu sauce
Total cost-$35.79
Total Saved-$225.52

Today's list and total is from both Amy's order and mine. We combined our last order with the rest of our coupons so it was difficult to separate out my own exact savings. The picture is only my stuff minus several boxes of pasta and rice cakes that I gave my parents when I picked up the boys. I keep my parents well stocked in anything I get free plus all their health and beauty items come from my stock piles.  When they come to visit, they usually have a Meijer re-usable bag with them and a list!

Monday starts another mega-savings event at kroger, I will post any deals I find tomorrow. So far just CVS and Walgreens are on this weeks shopping list. I grabbed some fruit and veggies from Meijer on my way home today completing the purchase of anything we need for the week! Krogering has interrupted my spring cleaning so it's time to get back to work!

Happy couponing and Happy Mother's Day to all my savings savvy friends!

  1. Great job! I just got home from Kroger-ing! I got some awesome deals including the Annie's Organic Mac and Cheese for $1 each. I also got Annie's cereal 2 for $3. And the Mom's Best at 99 cents each. YEAH! Makes me feel great! I had a heaping cart for just under $99.

  2. That's great! The Mom's Best website has a $.75 off coupon for the cereal too! I think I ended up with around 10 boxes for $.25 each!
